Peavey T-40 serial number

Hello to all the peavey holders. I recently bought a Peavey T-40 and I can't find what year was it made??? I entered at a post with a wiki link but i couldn't find it. Can anyone help me????

I recently bought a 78 one (body and neck) badly painted in black (even the fretboard). I am sanding the neck and will post pictures when finished.
Any work to do on yours ?

I finally find it. Thanks a lot man. It's an '81. The neck is dark brown and the body natural wood. I don't think it needs any works. It's straight the fretts allright and the pickups just perfect. I want to install active pickups but I don't think there is much space.

I have a maple neck I am sanding. Any advice for the varnish, especially on the fretboard ?

I haven't ever done any type of refinish work at all. I'm afraid that I can't really offer any advice on that.

I remember reading some posts on some forums about a place called Reranch I think. From what I remember they had a pretty good tutorial section on refinishing. You might do a search for that or check in at Harmony Central. I'm sure there as some guys there that have done a refinish or two.
