Serial Number list?

I got a T-40 and put it in playing condition once again...
the serial is 00509603...
How old is it?
It has the contour case, toaster style pickups and had flat toggles on it if that helps any.
I just replaced the toggles to make everything work again, along with some other stuff.

Wow, that serial number is really close in series to mine, though yours is about 190 earlier than mine.

If I'm not mistaken, that serial # puts it at around '80.

I got bored over the weekend and crunched some numbers on my serial number database.

Remember, my numbers and such are nowhere near official. It's just info I've compiled over the years. As Mike F. says over at the T-60 Forum, "Your mileage may vary."

7 pre-production (CT-B and 6 00000000 Guitar Dept. models)
7 6-digit serial numbered T-40s
6 8M serial numbered T-40s
147 8-digit serial numbered T-40s

130 maple fingerboards
22 rosewood fingerboards (first serial number showing up is 00321111)
15 with unknown fingerboards

82 toaster pickups
69 blade pickups (first serial number showing up is 00690365)
16 with unknown pickups

111 small flat switches
28 large bat switches (first serial number showing up with is 00742725)
9 with aftermarket switches
19 with unknown switches
