Hi folks. Just picked up my first T-40 and it should arrive by the weekend. I am told that the pickup selector switch has snapped but still works. I would like it to be fully working so plan to replace this.

Can anyone help by letting me know what switch will I need? I know it is three way but is there any special shape, thread, size I need to look out for. I usually shop for parts at www.basspartsresource.com so if they have the right one in stock that would be very helpful.

Any help much appraciated.

All you need is an on-on-on DPDT mini toggle switch.

I broke my 3 way switch and the tech at my local shop said I would need the original switch. If I can use a generic one I'll get it fixed tomorrow. I guess it pays to talk to people who know what they're talking about.

While most of us would prefer to see an original switch installed you can use any three way switch.
