| I've seen contour cases in both brown and black. Black is by far the most common. | |

| Hey guys, I got me an original Peavey case for 50-bucks at a local music store. I had asked the guy there about 2 Months ago, and low and behold he nabbed one for me.
It is black (I thought they were dark brown??). He thinks he has another, so if you're in the market for one, let me know and I'll have him pull it out next time I"m there. Not sure what he wants for this other one though.

| Anyone using a case other than a stock one? Will this thing fit in a Fender bass case or any other kind? My T-40 is just so long and wide bodied. It won't fit in most universal cases I've been looking at.
Thanks for your input, fellas.

| I haven't dug deep enough into the four string side of yet, but at first glance there doesn't seem to be much beyond the name and headstock shape. | |

| Tony, what's the difference between the old slanted super ferrite T-20 and an old Fury? They seem to be the same bass. I need to do some research. | |

| That's something I'm trying to track down. As well as when then changed from the rectangle case to the teardrop design. | |

| Can't help you either except for also mentioning to keep your eyes peeled on ebay.
Kinda off the subject, but does anyone happen to know what year they started adding the fourth latch on the end of the cases? The original case for my fretted '82 only has three, but the case I have the fretless in has four, and they both have the brown carpet lining.

| I scored a teardrop T-40 case this afternoon for $30, but I need it for my red/rosewood/blade T-40. I had been using another Peavey bass case (not sure what model it was made for). My wife took a box cutter and carved that one up to fit the T-40. Not really looking to sale either though. I've got my eye on a red/maple/Super Ferrite Fury to fill that other case. | |

| I'm looking for one too Cool. Although I'm looking for one of the old rectangular hardshell cases. I'll keep my eyes open. The regular molded cases pop up on eBay pretty regularly. | |

| I'd love to have an original, good condition T-40 Hard case. Anyone have one that you'd consider unloading?
If not, you guys have any recommendations on a hard case that this beast will fit well in? I think those coffin style cases are cool...but at this point, I'd take what I can get.
