There is a complete pickguard on ebay right now for $175, but considering that you can almost buy a complete bass for that, I submitted a Best Offer to the seller. How much do you think would be a fair price if the seller declines the offer?

The reason that I'm considering this is because I really want the toaster style pickups on my fretless, and if I swap them, I'll use one of the pickups from it on the T/P-40 bass I have planned in my mind.

I saw that and contemplated it for a second. As long as everything is working properly then I'd consider it. The old toaster pickups are hard to come by (especially a pair). I say ask all the appropriate questions before committing yourself. Looks great though.

Of course this is coming from a guy who passed on, and almost lost out on a rare 6 digit....tracing around the truss rod cover 1978 T-40 and didn't want to pay over $140 for.......thank GOD I came to my senses, thanks to Tony and dude.

No problem at all Scott.

I don't think I could give that much for a pickguard assembly with electronics and pickups with the original plastic cover still attached.

Looks like it's mine. I probably paid a little too much, but as Scott said, toasters are hard to come by, and I love them so.
