I just knew there would be an online forum full of Peavey T40 lovers out there somewhere! I play Fenders and Laklands on the road, but I've got this old Peavey T-40 natural that I still think is one of my best looking and playing basses ever. I use it exclusively when I am laying down tracks with Pro Tools at home. I can get tones out of that guitar like no other. It is stock, no frills, mint condition and absolutely gorgeous. Plays like a dream. I am going to take it out with me next time, and I need to replace the pickguard. Maybe something different and country like a wood pickguard. Any sources for wood pickup mounting rings too, if there is such a thing. Any suggestions out there? Any info and/or links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Old Man River, have seen pickguards on eBay with quite a selection there. I am sure there are others on here that have their sources, but it is a jumping off point. Have a great day!

Pickguard Heaven offers T-40 pickguards.

They've got quite a selection of colors to choose from. I only see one wood style listed, but no picture of it.
