I'm liking the looks of the t-45, but I'm not a bass aficionado.

I notice that the t-40 is set up like the t-60 with the pickups at the bridge and neck.

Most basses I see have the pickups located more central between the bridge and neck.

The T-45 has its pickup mounted between the bridge and neck. Does the t-40 and 45's sound differ a lot because of this?

I've never been able to play a T-45 to find out how different it might sound.

I imagine the pickup being roughly midway between the bridge and the neck it would sound like the center pickup on my Ace Frehley Les Paul versus the neck or bridge pickup on my other Les Paul. On a guitar I don't find that mid position sound very appealing. I might warm up to it on a bass though.
