t-40 transplants Empty
PostSubject: t-40 transplants   t-40 transplants I_icon_minitimeWed Apr 27, 2011 10:28 pm

Just got a 79 natural body maple neck and I completely love the sound of this bass. After scouring the forums, I have removed the red wires from the tone pots and the sound got even better. I may add some switches or push-pull pots to still get the single coil sound sometime.

Here's my question. Has anyone put their T-40 electronics and hardware into another body? The body on mine is in rough shape and I have thought about getting a swamp ash blank and making a new body. Maybe I can shed a little weight at the same time.

I like to do projects like this from time to time and thought it might be a good experiment with the T-40. Just wanted to see if anyone had an experience doing so.

Glad to be here on the forum.
