Hi all, some may know me from the t-60 site.

Anyhoo, I have Drums, and a few guitars including the t-60 (natural with rosewood) and I want a t-40 bass to have all the components of a band.

I'd like to find a burst bass, but there are a few t-40's locally here for sale. One is a white 81 with a maple fret board and he has the original case for $350

Another is a 79 natural with maple board but there are two screws drilled into the body front where your arm rests. It looks like there was a logo of the band there or something. This bass is $275 and has no case.

I haven't been looking that long. How often do you see the burst basses come up?

Welcome to this part of the show. cheers

You'll see a burst come up every so often. Naturals are by far the most common to see for sale. I lucked into my red/rosewood T-40 at a pawn shop. I don't remember how much I paid, but it wasn't much. I had great luck with that shop. Scored two T-60s with cases one day for $97 and some change (for the pair).
