| My first is a recent purchase - 5 String Dyna dating to 1989. Apparently, the Frost Blue was a higher cost option, and not particularly common for the 4's, or 5 String versions. Except for some buckle rash that I inherited, the blue finish on the body, and matching headstock is holding up very well.
My hope is that other Dyna (or former) owners will chime in about theirs on this thread.

| Congratulations John! The Dyna is the unsung hero of the Peavey line, IMHO. They went through many different changes...at one time, they were basically a Foundation, the later version, having I BELIEVE the same pickups that the Cirus came to have. I have the later version, the with the VFL pickups, not the Super Ferrrit. This bass has managed to edge out most of my Rickenbacker collection, it gets use every week. As far as durable, the poor thing was caught in a FLOOD during shipping. Stinky, rotten DIRTY water POURED out of it when I took it out of the box. IT STILL WORKS although the active side of the electronics needs some tending to. To add insult to injury, FEDEX banged the hell out of it to boot. It's like a Timex..it just keeps on ticking. It's a GREAT bass, light, responsive and mine has a SUPER THIN ROSEWOOD NECK. ENJOY! | |
