And, please do keep one for yourself. I fear you'll regret it later if you don't. Once I get mine, no way I'd part with it (or any if I'm lucky enough to eventually get several) but sure am glad that some are willing to part with theirs).

You can use any DPDT switch in your T and reuse the rounded nut if you still have it, thats the rare part.

is this offer still alive, by any chance? i've just started gigging with my band and found the t-40 when i went hunting for rick 4003 sounds on youtube. if it is, can you quote a rough price range for some of yours? or are we talking the usual $200-$300 for them that we see on ebay?

Obviously this site was started just for the T40.

Perhaps you guys can work something out, the BASSMENT for all other Peavey basses, and this for the T40?

I'm almost afraid to try to steer traffic here for fear they will just post and not find much response.

I don't know the rules over at Talkbass very well, but is it allowed to mention other forum sites? THAT is probably the best way to steer people to WHICHEVER site everyone decides to go with.

There is a pretty large FOUNDATION thread going at Talkbass.

I'm loving my Dyna but there is SO little information out there.

You guys were ahead of the curve. With all the crappy CHINA basses flooding the market, these bargain priced Peavey's are quickly being snapped up and the word is spreading..

I just tracked down a Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 amp. The OLD TIME RIC guys RAVE about this amp. I've heard recordings of these things and can't believe how clear they are for a NON tube amp! It took me weeks to find a decent one....and the same thing....word is getting out and they are being snapped up.

We've gotta try something to get all this information in one place with cross references to the other forums as an FYI.

I'm all for one site guys. I only created the other site to include "other" Peavey bass models...but that hasn't really worked out either.

The site creator has stated that he is open to including others like the Foundation, Dyna...etc here. This site seems like the most logical place to keep everything. Maybe he'll weigh in on this.

I'll be more than happy to shut down the Bassment, as it's been a morgue over there.

For some reason, this isn't an easy site to find.

I've posted on the Rickenbacker forum a link here. Seems that MANY RIC owners started out as T-40 owners and have a warm spot in their hearts for them.

Then there's the T-60 site, Scotts' site, and LOTS of folks on Talk Bass.

I like the idea Scott came up with, a PEAVEY BASSMENT, with sections for Foundation,s Dyna's, you name it.

I now own a Foundation (with another on the way), Dyna, a few T-40's and a T-45, a Generation...it would be neat to be able to discuss all the Peaveys in one place.

yes, i think this site is somthing slow, but... is some extreme your way to see the things...

we need to know what needs to be this site more active... maybe really are a few men with a t-40...

Sometimes i think what would happen if i posted a posting on ebay declaring a grab box of T-40 parts and extras and see how much i would get for it. its just way to much stuff for me to sel individually. Or else i would have done it already. Sometimes i look at all these basses and parts in front of me and wonder :gee, vic- what got into you-". well, here now they all sit. buy them. And as for my basses- i took lots of time and money to fix them. i guarantee these are the nicest bassist you will see. Al professionally set-up and cleaned.

Ps. I've been meaning to post some stellar pics of surprises I got. But no one ever comes in anymore so i dont find motivation to. I posted pictures of two new basses of mine and i got all but one comment. one. two actually now thinking about it but not any of the old school guys. anyhow- these surprises are Beautiful and once you see them you all will wish you had them. if anyone bothers to look here anymore anyways.

You had me scared Brother! I can totally understand cutting back, I'm considering letting a few of my T-60s go. I don't need near as many as I have.

Life has been turbulent for me, hence my lack of participation....shame to sell ALL of your T40's but I understand your need to move stuff along.

Thanks for offering here first, but I am pretty set on T40 stuff, I'm looking for a Foundation 4 string neck if you might possibly have one.

I'll take a good llok at my 2 babies and see if there is anything that could use replacement.
