PostSubject: T-40 pickup and bartolini preamp   Thu Mar 19, 2009 10:02 am

I have my original 79 t40 bass. It had been parted and many pieces are missing.
I'm slowly resurrecting it again. I have the Body, Neck and Pickguaurd to start.
I found a Bridge on Ebay along with some 80's bladed pickup. So hears my delemma
I do not have the electronics to go with it all and was seriously thinking of preamp those bad boy pickups with a Bartolini preamp. But I do not know what to do with the RED Wire
for the tone pot. Bartolini has separate bass terble and mid controls.
Is there an actual circuit attach in the pickup or is it just solder at the split of both magnets.
Any help, details or thought of how to go about this will help.
Thanks[b]

The red wire is used on the tone circuit to go from humbucker to single coil mode.
