Hello all!

Thinking of getting a T-40 a bit later this year. Christmas present to myself and all that. Now, at the moment I have a Rick 4003 and a Fender Jaguar bass, and it'd be nice to get something with a totally different character. It seems like the t-40 sounds somewhat similar to a Rick, which leads me to my question.

I've always liked the sound of Sting rays, by which i mean a sort of trebly dry sound. How feasible is it to put some MM pickups from bartolino into a T-40? And would they sound anything like a sting ray? I don't need spot on, just something different.

Finally, if a T-40 does in fact have a real unique sound, just tell me that too!

Thanks!
