Why is it that now I have a suspicion I will be collecting as many as possible before long? Rolling Eyes

It's due to arrive Monday, and I'm ordering the amp from Musicians Friend on Wednesday. I can't wait!

yeah my first T-40 had flat "blade" style switches if I remember correctly. Did Peavey make two types, or is this a tell-tell sign of replacement work?

Oooh, careful now, Viktor loves those flat switches Razz

Not a sign of replacement work at all. There were/are two different types of pickup selector/phase switches.

Peavey used the original flat/blade type switches for the pickup selector and phase until around 1983 or so. Then they switched to the round/baseball bat type. The change started to show up when the blade pickups started, although there are some instances where the "old" switches were paired with the "new" pickups. Just a crossover.

Yep. Scott's right. After Chip left Peavey you start seeing the transition from toasters to blades, flat switches to bat switches, metal nuts to plastic nuts, et c. I've seen originals with several variations and combinations of all these.

Tony,

I use Photobucket. When you upload a picture there, there are several icons underneath each pic, stating which format you would like to use. Copy the "IMG Code" and just paste the link here and it will show up. It's that simple. I'm sure there are other ways to post pics here but that's the one that's easiest for me.

BTW, I'm embarrased Embarassed

The neck FINALLY got in the mail to you, you should have it early next week. I'm sorry it has taken so long.

You don't need to see a shrink. Pocket the shrink money and buy yerself another T-40. Very Happy

I can think of far worse things to be spending money on that vintage American made instruments. Keeps me out of the bars but I go to the pawn shops way more often that I should. Shocked

My wife agrees with this. As long as we have room and can afford my hobbies, she supports them because they keep me home and happy. Ponder this guys; not only does she now put up with the reincarnation of my bass hobby, but she's been living with a flight simulator nut for the last 8 years, too!

Yes, I seldom get out of work or home, but she knows where I am all the time. Smile

You and I are lucky men. We both have women that truly understand our obsession with these instruments.
