Oh the humanity!! It's not as bad as I've seen some hack jobs on Ricks though. Still, it could be saved.

I'm temped JUST FOR THE NECK, but without the pickups, I don't feel it is worth the postage!

I'm almost there...I've been stashing my pennies so my wife will be happy I didn't use "house money" for my next T40.

Talking about HACK jobs Scott, I got a call tonight from a guy who just bought a 1972 4001 that some idiot decided to make it a LEFTY....ROUTES and all! He DRILLED OUT THE BACK OF THE BASS!

I'm HOPING I can get some pictures, he's looking for some parts and my luthier referred him to me. WHAT IS WRONG with people? That dude just ruined a 4 THOUSAND DOLLAR BASS!

Looks like a good project. Hard to tell from the pics, but looks like we've got a body, neck, tuners, bridge and electronics to work with.

geez. I got un-original switches on one of my T-40's that bug the hell out of me!! How can anyone live with themselves with a thing like that??? Brass??? geez. Well, the only good thing about junk like the above pic is that it ensures the T-40 will reach Vintage stature.

I have a question- like, when people switch necks on T-40's, does that also devalue them??????? what happens? do they become Uninstruments???

Rhaaa ... I'd like to buy this one to make a custom project. The Euro currency is so strong it's pretty affordable for me.

Could someone buy this one for me and send it to France if I give him the money with PayPal ?
