T40 LargeThe pin striping was done by my cousin who was pin striping cars for money at the time he did this. It was done in 1979 (about 6 months after I bought my "precious" T-40). I was 16 and he was 15 (he worked for his father/my uncle who has a business fixng up/making custom cars).
The "Rick" is a dead on copy of my signature - even still to this day. My cousin got lots of business painting guitars after others saw this work.
As you can see in the large picture - she's had a lot of work "On the Road." I don't play out with her anymore because there is a serious crack in the headstock. Some day I may try to find another identicle T-40 and cannibalize the two for the best parts to make a more pristine single one. I would like to then just put it in a glass case and hang it on the wall.
For now she sits in an original gold felt lined Peavey Hard Shell case that she was originally sold in.
