Here she is.

My 79 DSCF0012-2

I found her in a pawn shop in 2003. She came with what I can only assume is the origninal tolex style hard case -never seen a tolex case that will hold a t-40 since-, still had the pickguard film with control labels, a very wide strap, allen keys and some really cool coiled cables, that unfortunately had not survived as well as the bass. I paid 250, which seemed like alot at the time, but seems like a steal now.

She has a few dings now -all my fault- at the end of the headstock and a bit of rub on the back finish, but overall, still looks almost new with nice shiny chrome.

She was my main live preformance 4 string for about 2 years before brief stints with a Franken-Jazz and a Lakland 55-01. Doesn't get out much anymore, as I want to keep her nice, and a much more beat-up 1980 T-40 with darkstars is my main live bass with the country band I now play in.

I think the natural ones are the best lookers of all and that is lovely.
