Bought them both last year, and love them more each time I play them.

Very nice. I really like the lack of wood grain on the T-40 actually. You don't see that too often.

I'm w/Scott, I think that bass looks really cool with it's lack of grain showing. I was gonna ask if it had been refinished or something.

As far as I know, it's all original. I bought it last year from a guy who had it for many years. It's definitely a work horse, but it's still in pretty good shape.
I never really notice the grain (or lack there of) before.

nice pair there. As was mentioned, it is rare to see a t-40 with such a subtle grain pattern, it almost looks like maple, though it's probably just a variation in ash.
It looks like the bilaminate neck pieces are well matched too. Very nice.
