NEW BASS DAY!!! My first Peavey. In love!

1981(?) Peavey T-40 Bass. American made(!)

Same year I was born! Traded a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass for this, with original hard case (awesome old "gun case" type). Needs a little more setup than I can provide, but it sounds sweet and after a string change this thing SINGS! Sustain for days and POWERFUL pickups!

So.... Thoughts?

I am curious to the rosewood neck. I kinda wish it was maple.

Also the metal nut..

(BTW I play punk rock so I ain't needin' a 6 straaaang!)

Ok.. And to be totally lame.. I fell in love with these ever since I saw Mike Herrera from MXPX play one when they were first startin' out. (Yea, I was raised in an Oklahoma baptist home.. MXPX was the first punk band that made me get into the genre.)

Totally beautiful bass.
